Save Time & Avoid Frustration

Did you know that you can save time and avoid frustration by avoiding unproductive time on the phone.  

With the eClinicalWorks portal, you will be able to request appointments and view your lab results .  You can view your current list of medications and request refills.  See your personal health records and pertinent information from your recent office visits. Send electronic messages to our office staff and physicians for a response. Lastly, you may view your billing statement and pay your balance through our secure credit card processing option.

To gain access to our secure patient portal, you must become web-enabled with our electronic medical record.  Please call our staff at 845-354-3700 and provide us with a personal (non-work) email address.  We will email you with your secure username and password to provide to get you started.  The first time you log into the portal you will be asked to sign off on a user agreement set up a security question.  Please note that the portal must not be used for emergent communication with your doctor or our office. 

If you dowload the Healow app, you will have real-time access to your Personal Health Records, and secure messaging to multiple providers’ offices and have the ability to locate needed health & wellness products from your mobile device.  More specifically, you will also be able to access multiple accounts – patient, spouse, children, and parent all from one convenient location.  You will be able to organize your medicine cabinet with customized names, photos of your mediations and set alerts that will remind you when to take each medication.  The application also allows you to organize appointment, receive appointment reminders and have access to lab results and your personal health record.

Spring Forward with CCFA at their 2016 Kick Off Meeting

Dr. Elliot Heller, Specialist in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Digestive Disease Associates of Rockland, Member of the CCFA Board of Directors and Chairman of the CCFA Medical Advisory Committee will be the keynote speaker at the Take Steps Kick Off Meeting on March 13, 2016 at Dave & Buster's in West Nyack, NY from 11:30am to 2:30pm.   So after you adjust your clocks forward, come meet others from the IBD community, enjoy a acomplimentary brunch and participate in a question and answer session with Dr. Heller.

Elliot A Heller MD- Fellow of the AASLD, Class of 2015

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Elliot A. Heller has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (FAASLD) Class of 2015.

Fellowship is the highest honor among AASLD membership categories and recognizes superior professional achievement in clinical or academic practice in the management of Liver Disease. It is awarded to physicians, scientists and researchers who have made a significant contribution to the knowledge and/or practice of liver and biliary diseases, and who are considered leaders in the field. Dr. Heller has already been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and Fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Heller is the only gastroenterologist in Rockland County to receive fellowship in the AASLD.

Endoscopy Unit Accreditation

On April 15, 2015, The Endoscopy Service at Digestive Disease Associates of Rockland underwent a comprehensive accrediation survey by The American Association for Accrediation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF). Our Endoscopy service receive a full accreditation without any deficiencies. 

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. was established in 1980 to develop an accreditation program to standardize and improve the quality of medical and surgical care in ambulatory surgery facilities while assuring the public of high standards for patient care and safety in an accredited facility. Today more than 2000 outpatient facilities are accredited by AAAASF, one of the largest not-for-profit accrediting organizations in the United States. Physicians, legislators, state and national health agencies and patients acknowledge that AAAASF stands alone in setting the "Gold Standard" for quality patient care for all ambulatory care facilities. 

In addition, our Histopathology Lab was once again, accredited by the College Of American Pathologists (CAP). The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is the leading organization of board-certified pathologists, serves patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide. They set the "Gold Standard" for quality patient care for all clinical laboratories.
